GRAHAM - VISIT OF AUSTRALIAN FOREIGN MINISTER

Media representatives are advised that Foreign Affairs Minister Bill Graham will meet the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia, Alexander Downer, in Ottawa, on October 28. The two ministers will participate in the first Canada-Australia Dialogue, which will focus on "Assisting Countries Emerging From Conflict."

The Canada-Australia Dialogue is a new forum for ministers to explore public policy issues with one another and key advisers from both countries. During the visit, Messrs. Graham and Downer will also discuss a broad range of international issues, including Iraq, ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and security in the Asia-Pacific region.
