MINISTER PETTIGREW TO ATTEND SHARM EL-SHEIKH MEETING ON IRAQ
Foreign Affairs Minister Pierre Pettigrew will be attending the meeting on Iraq in
Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, on November 22 and 23. This will be a major meeting of the
foreign ministers of the G8, Iraq and Iraq’s regional neighbours. Minister Pettigrew will
make a statement outlining Canada’s views on Iraq’s political transition, as well as the
need to better engage neighbouring countries in the reconstruction process. He also
plans to hold key bilateral meetings.
