ENQUIRING EYE
Discover new art, learn to better appreciate the National Gallery’s collection and exhibitions, and share your insights with others. Sessions offer a warm welcome, a guided tour on a selected theme, a slide presentation or video, and refreshments. Duration: 1.5 hours. Maximum: 20 participants. In October: Edwin Holgate
Visit this major retrospective devoted to internationally renowned Canadian artist Edwin Holgate (1892–1977). Best known for his portraits and nude studies, Holgate also created landscapes and wood engravings. This exhibition brings together recognized masterpieces and unpublished works from public and private collections for the first time since the artist’s death.

In November: Clarence Gagnon, 1881–1942: Dreaming the Landscape
Visit this major retrospective dedicated to one of Canada's most beloved Quebec artists, Clarence Gagnon. This exhibition comprises more than 200 works featuring all facets of Gagnon's work, including paintings, pochades (oil sketches), prints, drawings, illustrations, and decorative arts and crafts.

Wednesdays 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 November, 9 am to 12 noon
Spice up your life with this program designed specifically for aspiring artists aged 55 and over. Discover the Gallery’s treasures in a series of three-hour workshops, then explore your creativity through a variety of media and art techniques. This fall, landscapes and portraits are highlighted as participants are inspired by the work of Clarence Gagnon and Edwin Holgate. Maximum 25 participants. Bilingual. Cost: $148.60 (Friends $128.80).
