Defining Employee and Manager's Fundamental HR Information Needs - Objectives

Objectives Members Meetings Documents References

To identify human resource information management needs to support the strategic direction of human resource management.

Approach

To identify the types of human resource information that are needed to support human resource management strategic direction. The Framework for Good Human Resource Management, a framework that identifies the five key results of good human resource management that advances organizational achievements, will be used as the basis to identify human resource information needs.

The focus will be upon identifying information needs rather than specific data elements. Information needs will also be viewed from the perspective of management and employees. A check will ensure that central agency needs are included. It is understood that central agencies will work with departments to reduce departmental central agency reporting workload.
