"We believe that it is in the interest of all Canadians to ensure
that their federal government workforce has the tools, training and other
operational supports it needs to continue to serve citizens well."
Workplace Well-being -The Challenge: Report of the COSO Sub-Committee on
Workplace Well-being
The Context
The nature, organization and performance of our work are changing. In the
past, performance was measured by resources (money), activities (workshops)
and outputs (reports). Today, the focus is on results.
In the future, measuring, evaluating and reporting on results will be
required to develop and deliver quality programs and services to Canadians.
To achieve results, the Public Service must nurture a federal workforce
in a learning environment where employees are well-trained and have the
tools necessary to achieve results.
The EEPMP is a catalyst program that supports initiatives to produce
tools to facilitate the exchange of information; promote knowledge, learning
and building EE capacity; develop skills; and share results in the field of
employment equity, human resources (HR) management and supportive workplace.
In supporting the development and accessibility to these tools, the EEPMP
helps departments and agencies to meet their legislative obligations under
the Employment Equity Act and to achieve their objectives to create an
inclusive and supportive workplace, representative of the Canadian
population.

Secretariat administers the EE Intervention Fund.)
