The Leadership Competencies
for ADMs and Senior Executives form the basis of a standard of leadership
behaviour that can be applied consistently across the executive community.
As you consider your readiness to pursue this opportunity, please refer to the
description of these competencies.
As an applicant to the AEXDP, you should consider
the following:
- Are you a leader who is prepared to take risks, engage in training
and continuous learning, and devote the time and energy required to
succeed in stretch assignments and accelerate your development?
- Is it important to you to make a significant contribution to the Public
Service in the years ahead?
- Have you demonstrated a consistently high level of work performance
throughout your career?
- Are you mobile if your developmental needs and assignment placement
require you to be? The Program offers challenging developmental assignments
in the National Capital Region and regions.
You must:
- be an employee of the federal Public Service,
appointed pursuant to the Public Service Employment Act, whose substantive
level is EX-1, EX-2 or EX-3;
- have met the requirements of a C-B-C language profile in your second
official language, or be willing to acquire it. If selected, you must meet
the C-B-C level before being deployed to the Public Service Human
Resources Management Agency of Canada as
an AEXDP participant;
- have a university degree or an equivalent combination of education and
experience.
