PSAC-TBS Joint Learning Program - Hiatus 2004

PSAC-TBS Joint Learning Program,
Suite 400, 233 Gilmour Street, Ottawa, Ontario, K2P 0P1
(613) 560-2595 website: http://www.jlp-pam.ca/

March 2004

The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) -Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) Joint Learning Program (JLP) pilot project has completed its mandate as negotiated in 2001 between Treasury Board and the PSAC, and is currently on hiatus pending the outcome of the current round of collective bargaining.

The JLP pilot phase has been overwhelmingly successful, resulting in over 620 learning events reaching approximately 15,000 participants across 33 departments and 11 PSAC Components, in every region of Canada. Using an experiential-learning model, the JLP provided joint-learning events for union members and managers to improve workplace relations and increase the understanding of the roles and responsibilities of unions and management.

While no learning events will be held under the authority of the JLP during this hiatus, the JLP website (http://www.jlp-pam.ca/) will continue to be available as a source of detailed program information and status updates. The JLP National Administration Office will be closed as of April 1, 2004.

We sincerely thank the departments, the PSAC, facilitators, organizers and all of the participants for actively supporting and participating in this joint learning adventure. We encourage you to continue this learning journey and share the JLP experience.
