Salary administration

Salaries shall be administered according to the University Teaching Group pay plan (see Salary Administration Plan - University Teaching).

Administrative allowances

An allowance of $2,500 per annum may be paid for the period after June 1989, to an employee classified as University Teaching, level 3 or 4, when required to act as Head of a Department.

Restructuring (determining UT rate of pay prior to moving to "B" scale of rates)

Effective July 1, 1999 a UT shall be paid in the "X" scale of rates at the rate of pay which is immediately below the UT's rate in the "A" scale of rates.

However, all UT's who have been at the maximum of their level in the "A" scale of rates for at least twelve (12) months on June 30, 1999 will move to the new maximum in the "X" scale of rates on July 1, 1999.
