Executive Vehicle Policy - Authorized Maximum Price

Effective July 7, 2005

This confirms the current Authorized Maximum Price limits for the purchase of executive vehicles, in accordance with paragraph 6.2.2 of the Executive Vehicle Policy.

The Purchase of Automotive Vehicles Index from the Consumers Price Index is the basis for the calculations of Authorized Maximum Price limits for executive vehicles allocated to Ministers, Ministers of State, Secretaries of State, Deputy Ministers and eligible senior officials. The price limits for the 2006 model year are based on the percentage change in the Purchase of Automotive Vehicles Index over the period of May 2004 to May 2005.

As a result of the calculations, the Authorized Maximum Price limits will remain at $26,800 for Deputy Ministers and eligible senior officials, and $32,100 for Ministers, Ministers of State and Secretaries of State. These limits are in effect immediately and will remain as such until further notice from the Treasury Board Secretariat.
