Knowing more about PSEA

The new Public Service Employment Act is now in force. The Public Service Employment Act (PSEA) is designed to facilitate hiring the right people, when and where they are needed, while respecting the values of fairness, transparency and access.

The Public Service Commission and the Public Service Human Resources Management Agency of Canada have developed a new staffing framework to:

  • guide departments in developing new staffing policies 
  • give direction to HR professionals and managers as they put the new PSEA into action in their daily management of human resources.
