![]() Media AdvisoryDefence R&D Canada Leads International Sea TrialMA - 05.060 - October 19, 2005 DARTMOUTH, N.S. – Defence R&D Canada – Atlantic (DRDC Atlantic) will provide a briefing on one of the largest international surveillance trials ever carried out in Canada at a news conference on Thursday, October 27. The Maritime Sensor Integration Experiment (MARSIE) is collecting data from multiple existing and experimental sensors to assist in the evaluation of surveillance technologies and improve sensors to ensure effective Canadian marine security. Media are invited to attend the news conference where there will be a technical briefing, a display of experimental sensors used in the trial, and the opportunity to speak with scientists and conduct interviews with trial participants. Beta b-roll and CDs of photos taken during MARSIE will be available for distribution to broadcast and print journalists at the news conference.
