Video Footage and Photos of Armoured Personnel Carriers Loaned to the African Union Available on the CF Website

OTTAWA – The first two chartered aircraft carrying six surplus Canadian armoured personnel carriers (APCs) took off from Dakar Senegal today, headed for the Darfur region of Sudan. These are the first of 60 flights over approximately 30 days that will transport a total of 105 APCs loaned by Canada to the African Union (AU) mission in Darfur.
