IT Security Coordinator Workshop

The goal of this workshop is to provide IT security coordinators with a practical approach to IT security to stay abreast of the continuing evolution of information technology systems and vulnerabilities.

This four-day workshop covers:

• Information technology security overview
• Personnel / physical security concerns
• Network security
• Use of electronic networks
• Computer crime and software piracy
• Encryption, PKI and digital signature
• Security products technologies
• Internet security, firewalls and VPNs
• Business continuity planning
• IT threat and risk assessment

Participants must have a working knowledge of computers, networks and communications. This workshop is restricted to employees who have IT security coordinator responsibilities.

IT operational staff (e.g. LAN administrators and technical support personnel) should apply for the three-day security workshop for IT operational staff and should not apply for this workshop.
