Status Report Regarding Technology Partnerships Canada AuditsOn September 22, 2005, Industry Minister David L. Emerson released a status report on audits undertaken by Industry Canada into the compliance of some recipient companies of Technology Partnership Canada (TPC) funds with two provisions of their funding agreements.

Contribution Agreements
Federal law requires that the Department fully consult with
companies and individuals, and secure their agreement, subject to
specific provisions of the Access to Information Act and
the Privacy Act, before details are released
publicly. Any personal (section 19) and/or competitive
business details (section 20) that are withheld are in
accordance with the mandatory provisions of the Access to
Information Act and the Privacy Act.
