Electronic Commerce in Canada

Benchmarking the Digital Economy

Research on electronic commerce helps inform Canada's transition to a digital economy. Electronic commerce statistics measure this transition and its impact on Canadian companies, individuals and governments. The information these statistics provide guides the policies and strategies that help make Canada a digital nation.

The Electronic Commerce Branch works in close collaboration with private sector partners, academic researchers and Statistics Canada, among others, to better understand the economic, business and social impact of the Digital Economy.
