Checklist to assist you in preparing your C-29 payment

Highlight the nature of your request: Bill C-29, payment made pursuant to section 78.6 of the Patent Act, or corrective payments. |

Indicate the Canadian patent application number or Canadian patent number. |
|
Indicate the service or proceeding requested with your fee payment. CIPO recommends using the terms used in the fee payment history to identify this service or proceeding. |
|
Identify the maintenance fee anniversary and the due date to help reduce possible ambiguities. |
|
Review our correspondence procedures before submitting your payment. |
|
If you are submitting your payment electronically, you will receive a confirmation number at the end of the transaction. This confirmation number is your proof of payment. |

CIPO is providing the fee payment history via the
Canadian Patents Database and
the relevant
fee schedules to assist you in making this determination. However, CIPO will not provide
an estimate of the amounts due pursuant to section 78.6 of the Patent Act. |

The fees may be paid by credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express), by Interac, via a deposit account, postal money order, or cheque payable to the Receiver General for Canada. Please do not add provincial or federal taxes with your payment. |

It is recommended that you do not wait until the end of the 12-month period to submit a payment pursuant to section 78.6 of the Act. |
|
All payments submitted pursuant to section 78.6 of the Act are non-refundable. |
|
No extension of time past February 1st, 2007 will be granted to submit a payment. |
