Accreditation

• Accreditation Program Description - This program authorizes organizations to inspect and certify devices on behalf of Measurement Canada. This program applies to inspections and verifications of trade devices used in all sectors.
• Accreditation Standard (S-A-01) - This document, entitled Criteria for the Accreditation of Organizations to Perform Inspections Pursuant to the Electricity and Gas Inspection Act and the Weights and Measures Act, sets out the requirements to be met by organizations seeking to become accredited. The standard requires the implementation of a quality management system. Additional Measurement Canada requirements must also be met.
• Accreditation Standard Guide (S-A-01-G) - This document provides guidance, direction and clarification regarding the requirements set out on S-A-01.

• Communiques - Announcements by Measurement Canada.
• Weights and Measures Inspection Certificate Completion Manual -This document assists authorized service providers in completing inspection certificates for measuring instruments.
