2004-04-26 Use of Measurement Canada's Logo and Corporate Signature by Authorized Service Providers
April 26, 2004
Over the past years, Measurement Canada has received a number of enquiries from accredited organizations regarding the use of Measurement Canada’s corporate signature (i.e., Measurement Canada, an agency of Industry Canada), the Agency’s logo or other means of promoting a company’s ability to inspect devices on Measurement Canada’s behalf. Organizations are directed to the Measurement Canada internet site Important Notices and Disclaimers, Use of Measurement Canada Logo and Corporate Identifiers by 3rd Parties, for responses to questions typically asked by organizations that are or are seeking to become Measurement Canada authorized service providers.
It should be noted that the policies regarding the use of the logo and corporate signature apply to promotional usage. The use of the logo and corporate signature is required for inspection certificates and verification stickers used by authorized service providers performing inspection work pursuant to the Weights and Measures Act on Measurement Canada’s behalf. However, these must be accepted by Measurement Canada prior to use.
