Clarification on Measurement Canada policy for establishments that fall under more than one sector

If an establishment falls under more than one sector, each device will be subject to the requirements of the sector applicable to the product being measured (i.e. retail food scales under retail food sector and gas pumps under retail petroleum sector, even if found in the same establishment). Devices will have to meet the requirements, including mandatory inspection, applicable to their respective sector. A device used to measure products in multiple sectors will have to meet the requirements of the most stringent sector.
