What Do I Need to Incorporate Federally?

To incorporate under federal legislation, your enterprise must be conducting business in two or more provinces and have a fixed place of business in more than one province. Under the Cooperatives Act, at least three persons are required to incorporate a cooperative and they must be at least 18 years of age, of sound mind and not bankrupt. One or more federation(s) of cooperatives can also incorporate as a cooperative under the Cooperatives Act.
