Prosecution Bulletins

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is responsible for enforcing a number of Acts of Parliament in order to deliver inspection and related services for consumers and industry that contribute to food safety, animal health and plant protection.

As part of its ongoing effort to increase awareness of CFIA’s role in encouraging compliance with the various Acts and Regulations, the CFIA issues prosecution bulletins when a conviction is obtained.

February 2006

• February 15 - Ontario packer fined for violation of the Canada Agricultural Products Act

• February 10 - Eskimo Express Inc fined $1,200

January 2006

• January 31 - Québec man fined for offences under the Maple Products Regulations

• January 27 - Purveyor's Pride Violates Meat Inspection Act

• January 20 - Manufacturer Fined for Unsanitary Conditions

• January 16 - B.C. Company Violates Meat Inspection Act (Revised)

• January 6 - $5,000 fine for Les Aliments T & N Inc
