Introduction To Legal Aid
Yukon Legal Services Society is the Legal Aid office for the Yukon
Territory.
Legal aid is when we assign a lawyer to represent you in a legal matter.
Yukon Legal Services Society is an independent, non-profit organization
that provides legal help for people in the Yukon Territory. We are not a
government organization or department.
You must qualify under our legal aid guidelines to get a legal aid lawyer.
To Get Legal Aid:
- You must have a legal problem covered by our coverage guidelines.
- Your income and the value of your property must be below a certain limit.
- You might have to pay a contribution to Yukon Legal Services Society.
