If you have a complaint against the police in British Columbia, you have a right to say what happened and to be listened to.
 


The British Columbia Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner is an independent agency established under the Police Act.  We are responsible for overseeing complaints against municipal police to ensure they are handled fairly and impartially.  The Police Complaint Commissioner is an Officer of the Legislature.  The office is completely independent from any police  department or government ministry, and reports directly to the Legislature.
