NRCan is one of over 20 federal government departments and agencies currently involved in addressing freshwater issues. This document is intended to inform interested Canadians, particularly practitioners of water management, about NRCan's unique role and contribution to freshwater issues. The document demonstrates how NRCan activities help Canadians make sound decisions on the sustainable development and stewardship of Canada's freshwater resources. It also illustrates the range of tools and instruments used in delivering enhancements to our knowledge of Canada's freshwater resources.
