Supplemental Financial Incentive From Hydro-Québec

The Energy Innovators Initiative (EII) of Natural Resources Canada's Office of Energy Efficiency and Hydro-Québec (HQ) are collaborating to help you implement energy-efficient projects for existing commercial and institutional buildings. To simplify access to EII's Energy Retrofit Assistance, or
ERA (3), and the Empower Program for Building Optimization (EPBO) from Hydro-Québec, professional partners registered with Hydro-Québec's EPBO can make a simultaneous request, either through one or the other of these programs. The program you select will recognize the electricity savings approved by the other program.

Option 1: Presenting a Project to Hydro-Québec's EPBO

This option is more suitable if your project involves only one building and if the energy efficiency measures primarily involve electricity. After fully completing the latest version of Hydro-Québec's Progiciel évaluation des projets (PEP)This link opens a new window., you will complete, sign and forward to the EII the specific ERA (3) forms specific to Option 1 found in the Password Zone.

Option 2: Presenting a Project to the EII's ERA (3)

This option is more suitable if your project involves several buildings and/or if the energy efficiency measures primarily involve fuel. After completing, signing and forwarding to the EII all the regular ERA (3) forms found in the Password Zone, you will open the latest version of Hydro-Québec's Progiciel évaluation des projets (PEP)This link opens a new window., choose "Dossier IIE" in the "Vocation de reference" drop-down menu and then fill out the pertinent PEP tabs by using the online help feature.

For more details on the two options, please refer to Appendix 2b in the Password Zone. Admissibility requirements for the two incentives are found in the EII's ERA (3) Client Guide and Hydro-Québec's EPBO Participant's GuideThis link opens a new window.. Depending on which option you choose, a representative from the EII or Hydro-Québec will contact you, or you can contact us for more information.
