Roads closed due to flooding / Update 10:30 a.m. Thursday (06/01/19)

FREDERICTON (CNB) - The Department of Transportation advises the travelling public that several roads are now
closed or have water over them due to last weekend's heavy rainfall.
The department is making every effort to sign or barricade roads where there is risk to motorists. However, water levels
can change quickly, and drivers should use appropriate caution whenever they encounter water over the road.
The department advises drivers in low-lying areas of the province to be on the alert for water over roads in areas not
included on the following list.
The following roads are closed:
District 1 (Bathurst)
- Wyers Brook, from Route 17 to end of road
- Church Road
- East Canobie Road, from Route 11 to Knowles Brothers Road
District 2 (Miramichi)
- Bay du Vin River Road, from peat moss plant to Auburville Road
- Priceville Road
- Weldfield-Collette Road, gravel portion
- Mullin Stream Road
- Route 420 (Plains Road), from intersection of Route 108 to Silikers chipseal section
District 3 (Moncton)
- Davis Road, from Route 15 to Route 955
- Route 490, from end of chipseal to Jailletville Road, dirt portion
- Desherbiers Road, from end of chipseal to intersection of Route 480
- Kent Lake Road to Route 126, dirt portion
- Route 116 Salmon River, Harcourt to Chipman
- Saint-Athanase Road
- Girouardville Road
- Lawson Road
- Pitre Road
- Bourque Road
