Model National Energy Code for Buildings (MNECB) for the Commercial Building Incentive Program
Funding for new commercial and institutional buildings from the Commercial Building Incentive Program (CBIP) is based on requirements set out in the Model National Energy Code for Buildings (MNECB). A proposed design must meet MNECB/CBIP mandatory requirements and be at least 25 percent more energy efficient when compared with a reference design as defined by the MNECB. The MNECB was developed by Canada’s National Research Council (NRC) You can purchase a copy from the NRC |
