VANCOUVER - January 9, 2006 - Community Services Minister and Minister Responsible for Seniors' and Women's Issues Ida Chong announces $1 million in new funding to help make communities safer for women. Community Action for Women's Safety funding encourages grassroots community and provincial organizations to develop programs that address domestic violence.
