Montreal 2005: Furthering the climate change agenda

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is contributing its climate change science, technology and policy expertise to the 2005 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Montreal from November 28 to December 9.

The Montreal event is the 11th Conference of the Parties (CoP 11) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. It is also the first meeting of the parties to the Kyoto Protocol, which became legally binding in 2005. With the first commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol ending after 2012, this conference begins the formal process for future international climate change direction.

Our November issue

To mark this historic international event, we've selected feature stories that touch on some of NRCan's accomplishments in addressing climate change, in Canada and overseas. We hope you enjoy our content, and encourage you to subscribe to receive e-mail updates on future editions of Natural Elements. Read on
