(Organization's Name) resolves to voluntarily assist the Government of Canada's international commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change by taking measures to increase energy efficiency in our existing buildings. In this regard, I am pleased to confirm that we are interested in joining the EnerGuide for Existing Buildings (EEB) for commercial and institutional organizations, and we commit to undertake the following actions:

• appoint (contact's name, title, telephone, fax, e-mail and address – if different than the letterhead) as our internal management representative to work with an EEB Officer from Natural Resources Canada's Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE);
• work toward the development of a long-term corporate energy management plan for all buildings in our portfolio that set measurable energy-reduction targets;
• participate in activities aimed at promoting energy efficiency to our employees and/or tenants; and
• submit an annual update to the EEB including energy-reduction activities and savings.
