Related Incentives for Existing BuildingsIf you are applying for Energy Retrofit Assistance (ERA) funding from the Energy Innovators Initiative (EII) for your existing buildings, your commercial or institutional organization may also be eligible for additional or “top-up” funding from other sources. National IncentivesNatural Resources Canada's Renewable Energy Deployment Initiative ( REDI) [This link opens a new window] offers funding for solar air and water heating systems, as well as for biomass systems. EnerGuide for Low-Income Households helps reduce energy costs for selected multi-unit residential buildings. The Green Municipal Fund (GMF) [This link opens a new window] was established by the Government of Canada to stimulate investment in sustainable community planning and infrastructure projects. Municipal governments and their partners can apply for funding from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM). Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation [This link opens a new window] (CMHC) offers reductions on mortgage loan insurance premiums for qualified rental housing, retirement and nursing homes. Regional IncentivesIf your building is serviced by one of the following utilities or governments, you may be able to apply for additional funds.
Other Incentives from the Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE)Although the following incentives offered by Natural Resources Canada's OEE cannot be combined with ERA, they may be of interest to organizations with buildings.
