EnerGuide for Low-Income Households

The Government of Canada has announced relief from residential energy costs for low-income Canadians. The new EnerGuide for Low-Income Households (EGLIH) program will be delivered through Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s (CMHC) Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program (RRAP)

Natural Resources Canada’s Office of Energy Efficiency is working with CMHC to develop this initiative through collaboration with our existing programs:

• EnerGuide for Houses Retrofit Grants for low-rise residential dwellings
• EnerGuide for Existing Buildings (EEB) (formerly known as the Energy Innovators Initiative) for multi-unit residential buildings that are at least four storeys tall with a common entrance and a footprint of at least 600 square metres
