Seniors Policies and Programs Database

The Seniors Policies and Programs Database is an Internet-based application which provides current and credible information on a wide range of Federal/Provincial/Territorial policies, programs and services designed for seniors, such as health, housing and income support. Endorsed by the FPT Ministers Responsible for Seniors, this analytical tool was developed to assist policy analysts to: 1) access information about policies and programs affecting seniors in all parts of Canada; 2) compare policies and programs across jurisdictions and learn from each others' experiences; 3) better understand the impact of policy and program changes across departments and jurisdictions on the health and well-being of seniors; and 4) develop policies and programs that meet the real needs of older Canadians. It also serves as a valuable source of information, both within governments and outside, to individuals and groups interested in seniors and aging issues.
