Canadian National Vimy Memorial Stone Display

About the Project

The Vimy Memorial stone walls were digitally photographed in sections. These digital photographs will allow the viewer to see the details when zooming in.

The northeast and southeast walls are the longest. Since names read in rows for the entire length of the walls, the photographed sections were pieced together to make one digital image for each wall. These images were then broken down into smaller file sizes, creating multiple long horizontal images.

The prepared images are used with an application called Zoomifyer for Flash™, which enables the user to zoom in and out using the tool bar within the screen.
