- Falls are a major threat to your health status and independence.
- Injuries due to falls are most likely to occur in, or near, your home.
- poor balance and hazards around your home are the two most common risk factors.
To Reduce Your Risk of Falling...
- exercise regularly. Exercise increases your flexibility, improves your balance, builds your strength and helps you to maintain current levels of activity.
- Have your vision checked regularly by a professional. Visual aids may be needed.
- Assess your environment and living habits. Changes may be required.
