Introduction

Addiction is a complicated issue that affects everyone differently. The term chemical dependency is used to describe all forms of addiction or dependence on alcohol or other drugs. It is considered a primary disease and is progressive, chronic and fatal. It affects the whole person - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
