POC 8 - Nursing Services

POC 8 offers services provided by a registered nurse or, under specific conditions, by a licensed or certified nursing assistant. Services provided include:

• administering medications
• the application of dressings
• personal care
• foot care
• counselling clients and caregivers in the use of medical supplies and health care.

Please note that continuous care, defined as ongoing care of more than two hours per day, is not normally available through this program. As well, private duty nursing provided in a long-term care facility or hospital is not an approved benefit under this program.
