Improving Access to Health Information Project

Veterans Affairs Canada, in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion, has launched an innovative pilot project that teaches veterans and seniors how to use the Internet to access health information and resources that may be available within their community and around the world. more...

  • Falls are a major threat to your health status and independence.

  • Injuries due to falls are most likely to occur in, or near, your home.

  • poor balance and hazards around your home are the two most common risk factors.

To Reduce Your Risk of Falling...

  • exercise regularly. Exercise increases your flexibility, improves your balance, builds your strength and helps you to maintain current levels of activity.

  • Have your vision checked regularly by a professional. Visual aids may be needed.

  • Assess your environment and living habits. Changes may be required.
