Surfing Time at the RCL Convention

Surfing Time at the RCL ConventionVAC staff greeted hundreds of visitors daily during the Royal Canadian Legion Biennial Conference held in June in Edmonton, Alberta. During the conference, the Honourable Dr. Rey Pagtakhan, Minister of Veterans Affairs, and delegates had the chance to visit the Seniors Canada On-line Web site (www.seniors.gc.ca) which is a one-stop source of valuable information on a wide range of programs and services available from federal, provincial, territorial and municipal governments. Delegates applauded the site's many unique features, including an option to increase the size of text on the computer monitor —— a real bonus for those of us who find it easier to read larger print. Launched in January 2001, the Seniors Canada On-line Web site was developed by Veterans Affairs Canada in partnership with other federal and provincial governments.
