Valentines for Vets

Each year, syndicated newspaper columnist Ann Landers encouraged her readers to send valentines to veterans throughout North America. In Canada, these messages were gathered and distributed to veterans by Veterans Affairs Canada. Ms. Landers passed away in 2002 but Salute! would like to encourage readers and their families to continue her wonderful legacy. As in past years, the valentines you send to us will be mailed to veterans who live in care facilities that we administer or that are under contract with us. If you would like to send a message to our veterans, please forward your valentine to:

Valentines For Veterans, Communications Division
Veterans Affairs Canada
P.O. Box 7700, Charlottetown, PE C1A 8M9

We'll need to receive your valentine by February 1, 2005.
