100 Years of Memories

On December 20, 2002, a radiant Jeanne Lacroix celebrated her 100th birthday with family, friends, and volunteers and staff from Ste. Anne's Hospital.

100 Years of Memories

In 1942, Madame Lacroix enlisted in the Armed Forces, serving two years on the vessels that were bringing wounded Canadians from England back to Canada. After the war, she joined Ste. Anne's Hospital, a long-term care centre administered by Veterans Affairs Canada, where she continued to nurse her peers - the Veterans. Madame Lacroix retired from the hospital in 1966, at the age of 64, only to return officially as a resident in 1996.

Her exceptional memory, alert mind and overflowing optimism never cease to amaze those who are lucky enough to know this extraordinary woman. We Salute! you Madame Lacroix!
