2004 Remembers Events Gain Media Attention

During 2004, Canada and the world paused to remember:

  • the 60th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy;
  • the 60th anniversary of the Italian Campaign; and
  • Veterans' Week.

Our media monitoring across Canada of these important events reveals that:

  • 2,347 stories were written about the Italian Campaign and Veterans' Week; and
  • 2,436 stories were written on D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.
