Pursuant to subsection 8(4) of the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency Act¹, I hereby authorize the Deputy Commissioner of Customs and Revenue and the Assistant Commissioners of the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, or a person authorized to exercise the powers and perform the duties of one of those positions, to exercise or perform on behalf of the Minister of National Revenue the powers, duties and functions of the Minister that I have been authorized to exercise or perform under subsection 8(1) of that Act.

This authorization comes into effect on November 1, 1999.
