POWERS, DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

AUTHORIZATION

Pursuant to subsection 8(1) of the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency Act¹ and subject to subsections 8(2) and (3) of that Act, I hereby authorize the Commissioner of Customs and Revenue, or a person authorized to perform the duties of that position, to exercise or perform on my behalf the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of National Revenue under an Act of Parliament or of a province, with the exception of those conferred on that Minister under the Special Import Measures Act² and the Charities Registration (Security Information) Act³.

This authorization supersedes the authorization issued to the Commissioner by the Minister of National Revenue on October 28, 1999, which came into effect November 1, 1999, and complements other delegations and authorizations in force on the date of this authorization.
