KILGOUR - APEC MEETING IN VANCOUVER

David Kilgour, Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific), will speak at the first APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) meeting of 2002 on Friday, February 8, in Vancouver. ABAC brings together senior business executives to counsel Asia-Pacific leaders on priority issues for business in the Pacific Rim.

Secretary of State Kilgour will be speaking on ABAC's theme for 2002, "Shared Development to Reinforce Global Security," and looking ahead to the opportunities and choices facing the organization.
