Welcome to the Pilot Emission Removals, Reductions and
Learnings Initiative

Climate change has been called the most significant environmental problem the world has ever faced. It presents a unique challenge to businesses, governments and individuals alike. In taking another step towards meeting that challenge, the Government of Canada has launched the Pilot Emission Removals, Reductions and Learnings (PERRL) Initiative.

Whether you're a company with a new idea for an emission reduction project, an individual concerned about the changing climate, or an organization seeking information about Canada's actions to address climate change, this site will provide a wealth of information. The links on the left of this page will take you to information on the background and objectives of PERRL, general information on climate change, instructions for getting involved in PERRL, and news about what we've accomplished so far.

You can return to this page from anywhere in the site by clicking the PERRL logo in the top left corner. If you're looking for more detailed information about PERRL, or you can't find the answer to your question, please see the "Contact PERRL" section.
