Downloadable Photos

Images of Healthy Veterans and Seniors may be used free of charge, without prior permission from Veterans Affairs Canada, to promote healthy lifestyles and for non-commercial purposes only. All photos must be credited to Veterans Affairs Canada and to John Sylvester.

The high resolution images are available for download in a JPEG (JPG) format or in a zipped file containing TIFFs.

To download the JPEGs: Your browser will first display the image on the screen. Place your mouse over the image and click the right mouse button. Select "Save Image As..." from the drop down menu. Please note that the pixels will offset to screen resolution making the image seem very large when displayed in your browser window. However, once the image is saved the image will revert to a smaller size in print resolution (300 dpi).

To download the TIFF series: Click on the link at the bottom of each collection. Select Save... to save the file to your hard drive. Please note that the zipped files are very large and will require some time to download. To access the files WINZIP is also required after the download is completed.
