Aircraft Certification staff are located at the following
Transport Canada Centres: Calgary,
Edmonton, Winnipeg
The role of the Aircraft Certification division is to
ensure the continuing safety of type-certificated aircraft designs
operating in the region.
- Approval of modifications and major repairs on aircraft.
- Issuance of supplemental type certificates and repair design
certificates.
- Familiarization/acceptance of FAA STC's.
- Delegation and monitoring of Design Approval
Representatives/Organizations (DAR's/DAO's).
- Assistance to DAR's, DAO's, AIR-M's with aircraft importations.
