Speakers Bureau
Department of Justice
- How does our legal system work?
- How does the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms protect us?
- How does globalization affect our justice system?
- How is Canada fighting crime on the Internet?
- What are victims' rights under our laws?
- What are the current alternatives to sentencing?
These issues affect and concern all of us today. The Speakers
Bureau addresses these topics and many more.
The Bureau provides its services across Canada to promote
awareness and understanding of justice issues.
Its services include informative and engaging presentations,
speeches and panel discussions, which are offered in both
official languages in a format to suit your requirements.
Speakers will bring their expertise and firsthand experience
on the justice system to your group. They can talk about a
wide range of issues, from drafting laws to the legal challenges
posed by the latest technology.
If you have an interest in knowing more about the legal system,
speakers can be available to your school, community organization,
service club, chamber of commerce, or similar group.
Our experts welcome the opportunity to speak on a variety
of justice issues, particularly those which are relevant to
your organization.
The Department of Justice is dedicated to ensuring that the
system remains fair, accessible, efficient and relevant to
Canadians.
