Top Navigation

Top navigation bar is the row of black buttons that must appear on all Government of Canada Web sites. You will find on the top navigational bar:

  • Français– Provides the equivalent content in French.
  • Contact Us – Provides you with National Research Council contact information--telephone, facsimile, mail or email.
  • Help – Provides you with assistance on navigating through the site such as file specification tips, navigation tips, etc.
  • Search – Provides you access to our search engine that offers quick access to information through bilingual (English or French) keyword or phrase searches. You will be able to do a simple search on a particular subject on the NRC Web site, an advanced search, a search of our staff directory, our expertise database or a search on the Canada Site.
  • Canada Site – Provides a direct link to the Government of Canada Web site

Institutional Navigation

The Institutional Navigation bar is the second row of buttons (in blue) in the top navigation and provides you with access to key NRC information as follows:

  • About Us – Provides you access to corporate information about NRC, its mandate and vision, its council, and to corporate reports such as our annual reports.
  • Newsroom – Provides members of the media with access to news releases, speeches and upcoming events and conferences where the NRC or its products will be featured.
  • Careers – Provides you with access to information about career opportunities with the National Research Council of Canada. Our employment programs target students, researchers, non-researchers, and more.
  • R & D – Provides access to key information about the fields of research NRC is currently involved in.
  • Doing Business with NRC – Provides information targeted to companies on how to use our services, collaborate with our researchers, and license our technologies and do business with the NRC.
  • NRC Site – Provides a direct link to menu page of corporate National Research Council Web site

You will find this section on the left-hand on the screen. This section provides access to a cross section of the content of the National Research Council Web site.

  • Publications – Provides access to National Research Council research and corporate publications. This gateway is located in the Research & Development section.
